Located between Pensacola Beach and Navarre Beach along Highway 399, Opal Beach is part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore. One of 12 protected beaches on the Gulf Coast, National Seashore beaches are celebrated for their beauty and ecological significance. Opal Beach is open daily, and there is a small entrance fee to enter the area. Despite a small fee, beach goers still love Opal Beach for its wildlife, clean beaches, and amenities.

Picnic shelters are available for general use on a first-come, first-serve basis, but Cluster A and E can be reserved.
